We have extensive experience in pedestrian planning for transport facilities - for new stations, for refurbishments and congestion relief schemes, or for operational planning during event days or construction.
While our team has many years of experience of technical modelling using Pedroute and Legion crowd simulation systems, our consultants have worked for operators and their contractors and engineers, and also for government. Consequently, our advice on interchange design and operation considers the commercial, day-to-day operations, risk management and safety contexts.
Recently we have been engaged in developing and testing Operations Plans for Event Day operations at Major Rail Stations.
The scale of our work has ranged from risk assessments for platform extensions through to providing design standards for the Dubai Metro, the first in the Middle East, and strategic and wide-ranging board-level advice to Santiago Metro.
We have recently provided analysis including pedestrian flow simulations and risk assessments for security screening in transport or events contexts.
We can also deliver traffic simulations using packages such as Vissim and Aimsun. This enables us to offer an integrated assessment of interchanges and public realm.
We work at any stage in the life-cycle, from concept design development, through detailed design, refurbishment and special events and construction phases.
