About the role
We are seeking people with curious minds and who have a passion for pragmatic data-driven problem-solving to join and craft our growing Strategic Insights team. You will support delivery of some of the most challenging and exciting problems within the sector, from Rail and Highways to Telecoms and Future Energy. Hence, experience or passion in pursuing economic and community improvements in infrastructure is key.
As we are a small team, your responsibilities will vary across the entire project lifecycle. We operate a start-up mentality and pace, with the support and resources of a global corporate. Your anticipated responsibilities include:
Leading technical project delivery
Structuring, performing, and overseeing domain-centric analyses
Exploring and modelling financial, economic, engineering and/or operational data develop insight and test hypothesis
Understanding and considering the impact and roadmap from a standalone technical project to integration within the client organization
Implementing appropriate project solutions in a reusable manner
Clearly and concisely presenting results through a variety of mediums, adapting the level of technical content to suit the intended audience
Identifying, pursuing and securing additional opportunities for work that will deliver tangible customer benefit
Leading and generating technical solutions to secure exciting future work
Contributing to our technical foundations to continuously improve our client offering
Actively engaging with team growth activities and operational tasks
Clearly articulating your views and honest perspectives through active listening and engaged participation
Pursing, with support, opportunities to improve your technical and non-technical skills
Taking a pro-active role in developing the skills of other team members
What you will bring to the team
To deliver against these responsibilities you will demonstrate senior consulting experience in the following technical capabilities:
Understanding of statistical methods and concepts such as regression-based techniques, quantifying and evaluating uncertainly, sampling methods and probability distributions
Readable data manipulation in Python, R, or SQL
Programming in Python or R including module/package management, structuring small to medium sized project, and writing clean, concise code which priorities readability
Preparing deliverables such as analytical reports, dashboards, or presentations
Analytical workflow management
