Movement Strategies has published a report on social distancing guidelines around the world

May 1, 2020

This report provides insights into social distancing measures of several countries during the COVID-19 crisis.

What measures are being taken by different countries around the world, as lock down restrictions are slowly lifted and society seeks to return to “normal”?

Movement Strategies provides insights into the restrictions and reopening policies of the following countries:

  • Australia
  • Canada
  • New Zealand
  • The Philippines
  • Qatar
  • United Arab Emirates
  • United Kingdom

Several countries, such as New Zealand and Dubai, are taking a phased approach to reopening businesses and public spaces. Essential retail businesses are being given permission to reopen, but with new restrictions such as only operating at 30% of the original workforce. Other businesses have been advised to support their employees to continue working from home, where possible.

Other countries, such as Qatar and the Philippines, have no immediate plans to lift lockdown restrictions and continue to urge their residents to remain at home.
